The British Pakistani Christian Association has again been asked by Redbridge Council to organise the Easter Parade after the success of last year’s event.

This year’s event will be held on one of Britain’s most busy shopping days - Easter Monday and will include a children’s funfair.

Chairman of the BPCA, Wilson Chowdhry, said: “We are extremely pleased with the outcome from last year’s event.

“The fact that council officers have agreed to allow a children’s funfair - something has been denied to all groups for over 10 years - illustrates that we are a professional community outfit.”

The borough held its first Easter Parade ever last year after a collaboration of eight churches and the British Pakistani Christian Association.
