Drivers should take extra care on the roads tonight after the Met Office has warned that there is an increased risk of ice.

Cold wind combined with freezing rain could see temperature plummet to as low as -4 degrees in East London.

If you do need to make a journey by car, make sure you follow basic advice such as choosing a higher gear to avoid wheel spin on icy roads and clear off snow from windows and mirrors.
