Driver arrested after car flips onto its roof in crash on A12 near Redbridge Roundabout

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a three-car crash near Redbridge Roundabout last night.

Police were called to the scene by the London Ambulance Service just before 8pm to reports of a crash in Eastern Avenue A12, near Redbridge Roundabout, Ilford.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: “Officers attended and found a car had collided with two other vehicles before ending up on its roof.

“A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, driving with no insurance and driving not in accordance with a licence.

“He was treated for minor injuries before being taken to an east London police station where he remains in custody.

“Inquiries continue.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 101.
