A familiar face returned to Ilford High Road on Monday – that of TSB, once again a standalone bank following its separation from Lloyd’s.

Redbridge’s deputy Mayor Cllr Tania Solomon cut the ribbon to officially open the branch.

“The launch marks the start of TSB being Ilford’s local bank, and we look forward to being part of the community,” said the bank’s Adam Beddoe.

Sort codes and account numbers will not change for customers who are happy to stick with the new brand.

The 631 rebranded branches will now be sold as a condition of the government’s bail-out of Lloyd’s TSB.
