Expect delays on the A406 North Circular Road due do an ongoing blaze in a scrap yard which broke out this morning.

All roads were closed between Redbridge Roundabout and Ilford Hill earlier this morning while firefighters attempted to get the flames under control in Wanstead Park Road.

All lanes westbound and eastbound have now fully reopened although traffic is still slow back to the Beckton Roundabout.

A spokeswoman for the London Fire Brigade said: “We have six pump fire in progress since 5.47am this morning in Wanstead Park Road. Scrap yard containing 10 vehicles 20 metres by 15 metres 100per cent alight.”
