Some Danish teachers were certainly delighted when they came to one school in Ilford to learn about its UN award.
The group visited Highlands Primary School in Highlands Gardens last week to learn about how the school achieved their Unicef Rights Respecting Schools Award.
The teachers were learning about how the school operates before piloting lessons learned back in Denmark.
Kulvarn Atwal, headteacher, said: “They were very impressed with what they saw and particularly by our wonderful children.”
Highlands was granted the award, which recognises schools which put the UN convention on the rights of the child into practice, in 2013.
