The daffodils came into full flower this week, after they were planted in front of the mansion last autumn.

Ron Jeffries, 81, of Spearpoint Gardens, Aldborough Hatch, took photographs of the daffodils on his birthday this week.

“It brightens the place up considerably,” he said.

“It was an absolute picture, the glory of the spring”.

The bulbs were purchashed after the location was used during filming.

The popular BBC show pitched their tents outside the mansion for eight weeks to film the most recent series.

The mansion has been praised for being the “perfect backdrop” to the programme.

Melissa Brown, from Love productions, who made the series, said previously: “The house is beautiful and the well kept flower beds, surrounding gardens and park helped make a perfect backdrop for the “Bake Off” marquee and filming”.
