Wanstead police station is to close as London-wide policing plans are published.
The station in Spratt Hall Road has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime following a report and consultation.
Woodford police station in High Road, Woodford Green, will no longer operate a front counter but will be open to the public at specific times in the week as a contact point.
Ilford police station will remain open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and Barkingside police station will retain a front counter.
