A 47-year-old woman was taken to hospital as a priority yesterday afternoon after being hit by a flat bed tow truck in Ilford Hill, Ilford.
Police and London Ambulance Service were called at around 5.15pm to reports of a collision between the woman and the truck.
Their first staff members were on the scene within seven minutes. She was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel to be treated for a broken shin, a dislocated ankle and a fractured leg.
She remains in hospital awaiting surgery and is in a stable condition.
