A man is in a critical condition following a stabbing near a school.
Police helicopters are assisting officers in the Romford area after the incident in Chadwell Heath earlier today.
The victim was taken to hospital after the stabbing near Newbridge School, at the junction of Gresham Drive and Joydon Drive.
A Met Police spokesman said officers were called just before 4pm after reports of a fight.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said the man is believed to be in his early 20s.
