A “super cop” who made 100 arrests in 2011 was commended for her commitment and incredible contribution to reducing crime at Redbridge police awards on Tuesday.
Pc Estella Dooley made her first arrest on January 5 for assault and went on to catch criminals for burglary, drugs, theft, criminal damage and possessing offensive weapons.
She needed surgery after her finger was broken when she was assaulted while making arrest but two months stuck at a desk did not stop her starting where she left off back on the beat.
Ms Dooley made her 100th arrest on December 30 and still works with Valentines Safer Neigbourhoods Team.
She was commended for her “commitment and contribution to reducing crime” at the ceremony at the Jack Carter Pavilion in Fencepiece Road, Barkingside.
