A car believed to have been stolen was abandoned after the driver crashed into the central reservation of a road in Gants Hill in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were called to Woodford Avenue at 1.25am this morning between the Gants Hill roundabout and the Longwood Gardens junction.
They sent two engines and crews ensured the vehicle was not a fire hazard.
Police also attended the scene and, according to firefighters, said they believed the car had been stolen.
Ambulance crews also attended the incident but there was no one on the scene.
