A Seven Kings man who stole over 100 items of jewellery in 11 burglaries in Kent was jailed for seven years on Thursday.

Ion-Liviu Radita, of Eynsford Road, was captured after officers tracked the ‘Find My iphone’ app on an ipad stolen from a house in Sevenoaks.

The Romanian national, 36, was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on October 23 after a jury found him guilty earlier that day.

He broke into seven Dartford homes in just eight days, as well as three burglaries in Sevenoaks and one in Greenhithe.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Bill Looker of Kent Police, said: “Radita was calculated about the way he went about these burglaries.

“He knew what he was after; laptops, electronic devices and jewellery, which are items he knew he could move on quickly and make a quick buck.”

Radita gained entry each time by smashing a back door or window and in both Myrtle Road burglaries he urinated on the bed before leaving.
