Woodford firefighters cut a semi-conscious man from his car after he hit a parked vehicle.
The driver “looked to be in quite a bad way” after his Mondeo struck the stationary Audi in Buckhurst Way, Buckhurst Hill, at around 4.20am, according to a firefighter.
Police also attended the scene near the junction with Cherry Tree Rise and an ambulance crew took the driver to hospital.
Fire crews from Edmonton and Chingford attended the crash to support the Woodford team.
Fortunately there was no one in the parked car at the time of the accident.
