Officers talked down a 28-year-old man who had climbed on to the roof of a disused pub in Clayhall.
Police were called at just before 7.15pm yesterday to reports of a man on the roof of the former Dr Johnson pub in Longwood Gardens.
A cordon was pub in place as officers spoke to him and the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade sent personnel to the scene as a precaution.
He came down from the roof at 8.50pm unhurt.
He was been arrested for an “unrelated matter”, police said.
