A police officer who broke his leg after he was in collision with a motorbike in an incident in Clayhall has been discharged from hospital.
The police constable was taken to hospital after the collision in Wensleydale Avenue, Clayhall near the junction with Chalgrove Crescent, at around 6.30pm on Sunday.
A 23-year-old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm. James Howson, of no fixed address, appeared at Redbridge Magistrates Court on Tuesday, also charged with dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
