Residents will be able to grill the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, at a public meeting tomorrow.

Sir Bernard will be answering questions from the audience at Redbridge Town Hall in High Road, Ilford.

He will also be outlining plans for the service and discussing recent changes, including the closure of front counters at Woodford and Wanstead stations.

Sir Bernard has been in the post since 2011, following the resignation of predecessor Sir Paul Stephenson, who left during the News of the World phone hacking scandal.

He is the most senior police officer in the country.

The meeting will run from 6.30-7.30pm. Doors open at 6pm and seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
