A man told an undercover police officer outside Ilford station that he could offer a good deal for a gram of cocaine, a court has heard.

The trial of three men accused of helping to run a drugs operation from Ilford Station began on Monday at Blackfriars Crown Court.

Saadat Agah, of Forest Road, Walthamstow, is charged with one count of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

A video filmed by undercover police officer “Stu” on July 18 last year, was shown to the court, which allegedly shows the 20-year-old offering to sell the man cocaine.

After the officer buys skunk from another man, Agah, who does not dispute that it is him on camera, approaches Stu to ask why he did not buy from him.

When the officer says that he is looking for “white” (crack cocaine), Agah offers to sell him 1.3g of powdered cocaine for the price of 1g at a later date, the prosecution said.

Saedd Ahmady, 43, of Ilford Lane and Atiq Rahman Rhemi, 22, of Downing Road, Dagenham, both stand accused of conspiracy to supply Class B drugs.

All three defendants deny the charges.

The trio were arrested by British Transport Police (BTP) officers in dawn raids across London last year.

This was in connection with intelligence gathered by the BTP for Operation Parish - an investigation into the escalation of reports of drug dealing in and around Ilford station.

The court heard during that operation, undercover officers infiltrated a gang selling the Class A and B drugs, predominantly from the Costa Coffee in Cranbrook Road.

The jury were told the three men were initially not identified as suspects whilst police were gathering intelligence during the operation.

However they were arrested after they were present in addresses which the officers raided on September 1.

Ahmady and Rhemi were arrested when officers entered a bedsit on Ilford Lane last year, in order to arrest Sandip Singh, 29.

The jury was told that Singh, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty last year to conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine.

The court heard that when officers entered the bedsit, they discovered 238 bags of skunk and cannabis resin, a knife and clingfilm.

The trial continues.
