Sergiu Horvath, 23, of no fixed abode, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 11 charged with the rape of a woman at an address in Ilford on April 8, 2010.
The Romanian national is also charged with the rape of a 19-year-old in Falconberg Mews, Soho Square on April 14, 2010.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday.
Detectives are appealing for information to find a second man, who they have named as Fethi Hammadi, aged 29, in connection with the alleged offence in Soho.
