A man had to be air lifted to hospital on Saturday following an accident involving a motorbike near Gants Hill roundabout.
Several members of the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended the scene in Woodford Avenue after receiving reports of a road traffic collision at 6.05pm.
The man suffered serious and potentially life changing injuries in the crash.
A spokesman for LAS said: “We sent a number of staff including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic in a car and London Air Ambulance.
“A male patient was treated at the scene for abdominal injuries before being taken to a London major trauma centre.”
