The M11 has been closed between junction four and junction six and a woman has been trapped in a car following a four-vehicle crash this morning (Friday).
The stretch of motorway between South Woodford and Theydon Garnon is expected to be closed northbound until 3pm.
Firefighters from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service are using specialist cutting equipment release a woman trapped in her vehicle following the crash, just before 10.30am.
Two crews from Loughton fire station and one from Epping were called to the scene.
