Two Ilford teenagers have been charged with robbery after an incident in a shop on Southend High Street earlier this month.

The boys, aged 17 and 15, cannot be named for legal reasons, but are due to appear at Basildon Youth Court on Tuesday, June 26.

On Monday, May 7, officers from Essex Police received reports that eight people - six boys and two men - had entered a Vodafone store and allegedly began grabbing devices from displays.

Members of the public reportedly tried to stop the suspects from leaving, and two boys were arrested. The others remain at large.
