A 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with a violent noxious substance attack in Ilford.

William Deo, 20, of no fixed abode appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court yesterday (July 5) charged with two counts of robbery, one count of grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of actual bodily harm.

The charges follow an incident in which a substance, believed to be ammonia, was thrown at a home in Argyle Road on June 13.

He is due to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday, July 18 along with three others charged in connection with the same incident.

Gavin Okwu-Brewis, 29, of no fixed abode; Adam Badejo, 20, of no fixed address; and Makayla Hajaig, 19, of Barley Lane, Chadwell Heath are each also charged with two counts of robbery, one count of grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of actual bodily harm.
