Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an armed robbery in Redbridge.

The robbery took place at a bookmakers in Snakes Lane East, Woodford Green, on Saturday January 23 at 4.15pm.

The suspect entered the bookies, produced a firearm and demanded money from the cashier.

He then made off on foot with a quantity of stolen money.

Another robbery took place at 8.50am on Tuesday February 4 at another bookmakers on Woodgrange Road, Forest Gate.

Again, the suspect entered the bookmakers, produced a firearm and demanded money from the cashier before walking out.

It is believed the man may have links to Newham.

He is described as white, 5ft 8ins, aged between 25 and 30 and of slim build.

Det Sgt Scott Chimes, from the Flying Squad, said: “The cashiers have had to endure a frightening experience due to this person’s actions.

“We are seeking to identify and trace him as a priority.”
