The driver of a bulldozer that crushed Barkingside construction worker Mihai Hondru to death in 2010 has appeared in court.
Mr Hondru, 39, of Poplar Way, was pronounced dead at the scene of the M25 widening works site near junction 29 at Upminster after he was struck by the reversing bulldozer on October 20.
Stephen Blackmore, of Manitoba Gardens, Cullompton, Devon, is accused of failing to operate a construction vehicle safely and has been bailed until June.
Firm J McArdle Contracts was charged with failing to ensure Mr Hondru was not put at risk of collision but the company went into administration the day before the hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on April 24.
The prosecution has been halted while the Health and Safety Executive contacts the Insolvency Court.
