An application for a controversial mosque expansion has been withdrawn from tonight’s meeting by council officers due to a row over the lease of the premises’ car park.
The application was pulled less than 48 hours before the proposed expansion of the South Woodford mosque, in Mulberry Way, was due to go before Redbridge Council’s regulatory committee.
This is “to enable further negotiations to be held”, the Recorder understands.
More to follow.
