POLICE are investigating after the body of a man was found near a cemetery last night.
Buckingham Road Cemetery, Buckingham Road, Ilford, has been cordoned off as officers search for clues about the death.
Officers were called to the graveyard at around 8pm and the man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesman said: “The death is being treated as suspicious at this time and a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course. ”The Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating.”
