Man shot in Seven Kings remains in ‘serious’ condition in hospital as police continue appeal

PUBLISHED: 16:23 09 November 2012

The man shot in a Seven Kings street in September is still in hospital as police continue to appeal for witnesses.

The 27-year-old was shot as he was travelling in a car with others near the junction of Aldborough Road South, Meads Lane and St Johns Road on September 21.

His condition is described as “serious but stable”.

Two men aged 26 and 28 were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life just three days after the incident but are still on bail.

The men are from E12, which covers parts of Manor Park, Little Ilford and Aldersbrook, and will be questioned further later this year.

Police are looking for information on a red and white “high-powered” motorbike allegedly used by two men pursuing the victim.

Detectives from Trident, the Metropolitan Police’s gang and gun crime division, are hoping people were near the incident shortly before 5pm by shops, Downshall Primary School and St John the Evangelist church.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call the incident room on 020 8217 7381 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
