Haziq Raza, 24, of Meath Road, and 26-year-old Navarda Rhooms, of Eton Road, were convicted of manslaughter at the Old Bailey.

Both men also pleaded guilty to violent disorder on the first day of their trial (Thursday, June 5).

Mr Ali, 33, from Elm Park, was knifed 13 times and beaten with weapons including a hammer, metal poles and baseball bats during a group attack on September 2016.

As detectives investigated the killing, Rhooms fled to New York and Raza, Pakistan.

Both were arrested on their return to the UK, on January 2 and January 8 respectively.

The pair will be sentenced at the same court later this month.

Abubaker Omar-Bana, 27, of Rochford Close, East Ham, and Jordon Archambie, 21, of Hesketh Road, Forest Gate, were also jailed on Tuesday, July 3 in connection to the killing.

The Old Bailey sentenced Omar-Bana to 15 years behind bars, Archambie 12.
