Firefighters tackled a fierce car fire in a residential Barkingside street in the early hours today.

The crew, from Hainault, was called to the blaze in Stradbroke Grove at 3.53am. A crew member said: “It took a little longer than usual to put out the flames, as a fuel line had broken in the car.”
