Crash in Ilford involving car and van blocks lane on A406

The southbound exit slip on the A406 is closed at the A118 Ilford Hill junction due to an earlier collision involving a car and a van today, (Thursday).

Congestion is backed up to Woodford, tailing back to Redbridge Flyover.

A spokesman for the Met Police said: “A damage only accident occurred at 4.18 involving with two cars.

“By the time emergency services arrived the cars had left the scene but debris was left behind.

“A local authority request to clean up has been made.”
