O’s midfielder Dean Cox has committed his future to Leyton Orient until the summer of 2017.

Cox enjoyed a fine season in E10 last year, netting 17 goals and providing 15 assists as the O’s went so close to promotion from League One.

That form saw the 26-year-old linked with a move away from Brisbane Road this summer, but the former Brighton man has now committed his future to the club as they look to go one better this season.

Following the departure of goalkeeper Jamie Jones, Cox is now the longest serving player at Orient, with 210 appearances for the club since joining the Brisbane Road outfit in 2010, and his re-signing is a big boost for the O’s and boss Russell Slade ahead of the new campaign.
