Harold Hill man Lee Wickenden must pay £360 after taking a Ford Fiesta without its owner’s consent, driving it without insurance, and failing to appear in court.
Wickenden, 25, took the car in Ardleigh Green Road, Hornchurch, on January 31. He pleaded not guilty, but was found guilty in his absence in August.
On September 10, he failed to turn up to Barkingside Magistrates’ Court, having been released on bail on August 20.
Wickenden, of Woodbridge Close, must pay £250 costs, a £60 victim surcharge and a £50 fine for failing to appear in court.
He was dealt with at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on September 30.
