A woman in her 40s has been airlifted to hospital after being involved in a car crash.
London Ambulance Service said they were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian just after 10am this morning.
It is believed the incident happened in High Road, Goodmayes.
The woman was taken to Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel with pelvic and leg injuries.
A cordon is in place in the High Road at the junction of Barley Lane and Goodmayes Road and the number 86 bus is being diverted.
