Redbridge Council is urging people to take part in a consultation over changes to school admissions criteria ahead of the deadline today (Tuesday).

Anyone with an interest in education such as parents, community groups or schools, can complete the school admissions arrangements survey.

Suggestions include prioritising siblings in the same school, limiting the grammar school waiting list to 50 and coordinating with other boroughs over school admissions.

Comments will be considered by the cabinet at its meeting on April 7 before deciding the final admission arrangements.

Redbridge schools which are responsible for their own admissions – including voluntary aided faith schools, foundation schools and academies – may also be consulting on their own changes.
