Concerns raised over ‘stabbing’ in Ilford

Concerns are growing after police cordoned off a road following a suspected stabbing.

Residents on social media and businesses in the area have spoken of the police presence in Belgrave Road, Ilford, at the junction with Northbrook Road, yesterday.

The incident is believed to have taken place in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Officers cleared the scene by 12pm yesterday, according to residents.

On Twitter, @aRVindinho said: “Police confirmed to us it was [a] stabbing.”

@IlforddaveSCFC said: “What’s going on in Northbrook Rd / Belgrave Rd ? Roads closed, police cars n tape everywhere.”
