Co2 emissions reason for new opening hours at Woodford Green’s The Village Bookshop

PUBLISHED: 11:30 17 March 2013

A Woodford Green bookshop will open and close an hour later, allowing its owner to cut down his Co2 emissions, he has said.

Tan Dhillon has taken the decision to open The Village Bookshop in High Road at 10.15am Monday to Friday, rather than 9.15am, and stay open until 6.30pm.

Mr Dhillon, who lives 30 miles away and drives to work, said: “To cut down my share of Co2 emissions, I’ll be travelling after the rush hour.”

The store is also open on Saturdays, 9.30am-6.30pm.
