An Ilford group has secured a grant from the Church Urban Fund to hold a series of workshops where children will create a piece of art to represent all the faiths in the borough.

The East Ilford Betterment Partnership will hold the free mosaic art workshops for children aged between five and 11 at the Clementswood Community Centre, Connaught Road, Ilford, starting on Monday.

The top ten designs produced will be then used at the base of the Redbridge Peace Monument, on the junction of Riches Road and Winston Way, Ilford.

To sign up for the workshops call Wilson Chowdhry on 020 8514 0861 or email wilson@aasecurity.co.uk.
