Children were egg-static when they saw tiny chicks hatch in front of their very eyes during class.
Reception classes at Highlands Primary School, Highlands Gardens, Ilford have been learning about growing.
Part of this included having eggs, safely housed in an incubator, in their classrooms.
After the chicks hatched the children got a chance to hold them and are now watching them grow.
Pupil Hanaa Khatun said: “I liked it when it went to jump on my hand, it was soft.”
