A young child was taken to hospital by air ambulance after a serious collision involving a car on Green Lane, Goodmayes.
A six-year-old boy was taken to hospital by air ambulance after being hit by a car on Green Lane, Goodmayes.
Emergency crews, including an air ambulance, rushed to the junction with Waldergrave Road at 5.30pm on Sunday after the child was hit by a Red Ford Mondeo when he reportedly ran into the road.
The boy was treated for non life-threatening head injuries at the scene before being airlifted to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.
The road was closed in both directions between Bennett’s Castle Lane and Goodmayes Road until 9.30pm. Police have not made any arrests in connection to the incident.
