Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager from Hainault was stabbed in what is believed to be a targeted incident.
A 17-year-old was rushed to hospital with multiple serious injuries after being stabbed in a “targeted” attack in a car park in Copperfield, Chigwell, on Friday night. He is currently in a stable condition.
Essex Police were called shortly before 7.25pm and a spokesman said they believed it was a targeted attack and there is no wider risk to the general public.
Witnesses reported a number of people were involved in the incident that led to the victim being stabbed.
Two men were arrested on Saturday, July 1, in connection with the investigation.
A Mercedes and a recovery vehicle were stopped in Chigwell Lane.
The occupants of the Mercedes, a 22-year-old man from Broxbourne and a 24-year-old man from Waltham Cross, were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and were released under investigation.
Inquiries are ongoing and detectives want to speak to anyone who saw what happened in Copperfield on Friday evening or has any information that could help their investigation.
They are asked to contact Loughton CID on 101.
They will not have to give their name or details.
