Bishop Stephen Cottrell set off on an eight mile walk from Holy Trinity Church, in Mossford Green, Barkingside, to St Mary’s Church, in Grafton Road, at 8am on Wednesday, May 23.

On his journey he stopped off at St. Peter’s Aldborough Hatch, in Aldborough Road, and onwards to Barkingside to meet at other churches.

Bishop Cottrell said: “It has been a great delight to be here in Aldborough Hatch.

“It has been heartening to witness the excellent way in which the church and the multi-cultural community are working closely together in harmony.”

Since 2014, Bishop Cottrell has led 25 walks and covered about 300 miles.
