Bus services across east London could change under Transport for London’s plans to create better links with the Elizabeth line.

A consultation on the plans, which involve a number of routes, has opened and is set to run until September.

In Redbridge, the route 25 bus, which runs from Ilford to Oxford Circus via Manor Park, Forest Gate and Stratford, would only run as far as Holborn.

Among other suggestions are route 474, which runs between Canning Town and Manor Park station as a 24 hour service, being rerouted between Canning Town and London City Airport in both directions.

Instead of turning between Victoria Dock Road and Silvertown Way, it would turn into Munday Road and rejoin the existing route from Jude Street.

An additional proposed change in the Canning Town direction only would see it serving Store Road, close to the Woolwich Ferry terminal.

Route 330, which runs between Canning Town and Wanstead Park station, could be extended past Canning Town.

The new route would include Silvertown Way and North Woolwich Road, as far as Pontoon Dock DLR station.

It makes provision for a future option of further extension across Connaught Bridge and into Victoria Dock Road, should funding be made available for a terminus at Custom House station.

The 241, which runs between Canning Town and Stratford City bus station, could be altered, with the section between Hermit Road and the ExCeL cut completely.

Instead, it would extend past Stratford and run through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Plans for the 300 between East Ham and Canning Town would see it rerouted in the Tollgate Lane area.

There are no planned changes to the frequency of these routes.

In addition, TfL plans to split the 104, which runs between Stratford and Manor Park stations, into two overlapping routes.

The first, which would retain the number 104, would run between Stratford and Beckton bus station while the second, which would be renumbered as 304, would run between Manor Park and Custom House.
