Etana Hobbs wrote a storybook with her mother which featured the Year Three pupil as a character – meaning she could dress as herself for the day.

Kulvarn Atwal, headteacher of the school in Highlands Gardens, Ilford, said: “Everyone had a fun day dressing up as their favourite book character. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to engage in different genres and share their writing with their peers, which was of a fantastic quality.”
