A man in his 30s was stabbed ‘multiple times’ in Wanstead last night.
The Recorder has obtained footage of the incident which took place on the junction of Wanstead Park Avenue and Aldersbrook Road on Thursday (May 10) at around 5pm.
The suspect, wearing a grey and black hoody, appears to chase the victim down the street.
They stop outside a hair salon where the suspect appears to repeatedly headbutt and swipe at the victim before plunging a blade into his back.
The victim then enters into the salon while the suspect flees the scene.
Police and paramedics were called to Wanstead Park Avenue at around 5pm and found the man suffering multiple stab wounds.
He has been taken to hospital where his injuries have been deemed not to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A crime scene is in place.
There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
