The BBC cookery competition filmed its second series at the mansion, in Emerson Road, and returned to film the specials in September.

The one-hour mini bake-offs will benefit Comic Relief.

In each episode four celebrity bakers of varying experience will compete in challenges devised by experts Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.

Tonight, comedians Jo Brand, Stephen K Amos, Lorna Watson and Ingrid Oliver will attempt tricky shortbread, custard slices and chocolate cakes to be crowned Star Baker.

Other famous faces in the kitchen will include paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds, Dragon’s Den expert Duncan Bannatyne and presenter Claudia Winkleman.

Tonight’s episode will be on BBC Two at 8.30pm.
