A build-up of water inside Seven Kings station yesterday evening was caused by the heavy rain.
Part of the ticket hall was closed from 5.30pm until the end of service, due to two-to-three inches of water on the floor.
The main entrance was shut and staff escorted members of the public to the side entrance.
A spokesman for Greater Anglia said: “It appears that due to the heavy rain, water was running off the road outside the station into the booking hall.
“Steps were taken to rectify the situation and the booking hall opened as usual this morning. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
