Marvin Bartley has signed an 18-month contract at Leyton Orient following his release by Burnley.

The 27-year-old midfielder had been on loan at Brisbane Road sincethe start of the season.

Bartley has scored two goals in 22 appearances for the O’s, netting in consecutive games over the festive period against Crawley and Gillingham.

He has struggled with injury over the last month but will provide depth in the centre of midfield alongside Romain Vincelot, Lloyd James and Jamie Ness, on loan from Stoke.

Bartley began is professional career at Bournemouth before joining the Clarets in 2011.
