Barkingside vicar leaves for new role

PUBLISHED: 13:42 15 October 2012

A church congregation said a sad farewell to one of their ministers, as she embarks on a new role at a children’s hospital.

Rev Sue Taylor is leaving St Laurence Church, Donington Avenue, Barkingside, to take up the role as paediatric chaplain to the Evelina Children’s Hospital, which is part of St Thomas’ Hospital, in London.

Sue has been part of the leadership team at the church for the last six years, first as curate and then associate minister.

Rev Ernie Guest presented Sue and her husband, Graham, with gifts from the congregation during the Harvest Festival service on Sunday.
