BARKINGSIDE High Street has been cordoned off after after an 18-year-old woman was involved in an accident.
She has been taken to Queen’s Hospital suffering from “potentially life-changing” head injuries.
A police spokeswoman said the victim’s family and the driver involved in the accident remained at the scene.
The road has been closed to traffic in both directions and buses have been re-routed.More to follow.
